Australian Aboriginal Tribes
Go to the webpage http://www.infomutt.com/l/li/list_of_australian_aboriginal_tribes.html and select the name of one Australian Aboriginal Tribe. Using Google or your prefered search engine, find out as much as you can about that tribe. For example, where that tribe traditionally lived, what the tribe ate, how the tribe captured food, cultural and art practices and any important sites in the region. Provide a overview of your tribe in this section of the blog. You should work independently and make sure that you select a tribe that is not being covered by other members of the class.
Boomerang Returning
Not all Boomerangs look the same, act the same or have the same purpose. Some Boomerangs are designed to return, and some are not. Using key words such as 'Boomerang Returning' and other work sheets completed in class, explain why some boomerangs return and others do not. Also, find as many different purposes for boomerangs as you can.

Making Paper Aeroplanes
Designing paper aeroplanes was an outcome of our learning about aerodynamics. Some were clearly well designed, others were not so. This is a place to comment about what we learnt from this experience.

Introductory Powerpoint for Aboriginal History
As a class we viewed and discussed a powerpoint about basic Aboriginal history. We learnt lots of new information about this, and were able to reflect on what we knew.

Canada asks 'Did you know?'
This short video shows Canadians being interviewed in the street about the rights and history of indigenous people in their country. There are many parallels between the way Australia and Canada treated their indigenous populations. 8H will reflect on whether the treatment of Canadian Indigenous people is fair and are we any better
