Introductory Powerpoint for Aboriginal History
As a class we viewed and discussed a powerpoint about basic Aboriginal history. We learnt lots of new information about this, and were able to reflect on what we knew.
The power point that we watched in class was fun coz all the none brown eyed people had to sit on the ground and all the brown eyed people got to sit were ever they wonted to sit.
I learnt a lot about the aboriginals on the powerpoint. I never relised how badly they were treated, but they did get treated better when they became proper citizens in 1967. White people were racist towards the aboriginals but aboriginals did descriminated towards white people because they looked different and apparntly they were "posh".
in the year 1788 australia was first discovered by a white man called captain cook. duuring the early part of the 20th century laws were passed to sergergale and protect aborigionals. this involed restrictions and where they could live and where they could work.
the stolen generation
after world war two the assimulation became the goverments aim. the aborigionals were always treated with less respect than the white people. aborigionals had it relly hard and they had no help from anyone. blue eyes brown eyes
in class we watched a powerpoint on blue eys and brown eyes during the pp blue eyed people had to sit on the floor and the brown eyed people had to sit in chairs and they were the people on top.
I think the powerpoint was really iteresting and i learnt some new things that i didnt know about.I think it was good that in the powerpoint it mention about Torrest Strait Islander people and would like to hear more about my culture.I thought mrs A taught it really well and she presented it really well i herd some racist remarks but she handled it.I think people responded good and were interested.I liked how they mentioned relevent subjects e.g sorry speech and explained why they did it and the history of what happened to the aboriginal people and Torrest Strait Islander people.
The Aboriginal culture is kinder crap but kinder cool. The crap part bout there culture is that when ya get married u carnt look at the girl u are marring u have to look at there feet
As a class it was interesting to learn about the aboriginal and torastrait islanders,it was enjoyable to learn about a different culture and life styles besides Indonesian.it seams that us (white man)as a race have not been treating the black community evenly lee for many years and i am proud that Keven Rudd said sorry to the aboriginal community.
also we watched a movie called blue eyes and brown eyes or something like that and it was a documentary about racism and how easy it was to judge someone using an example like eye color to represent different colored skin, age and sex,the documentary wasn't what i was expecting i mean we were all watching the documentary like we normally do when the teacher decided to do what the lady was doing in the documentary so all the students with brown eyes were able to do what ever they wanted and us without brown eyes had no rights and or anything to speak of but no only that the brown eyed people were in control.and this showed us how we have been treating aboriginal community's and families for years.
on the 9th of september when we started our new investigation boomerang come back, we watched and took notes on the aboriginal history powerpoint.
i learnt that the white people treated the aboriginal people really bad when they arrived in australia.
they did some pretty mean things to the aboriginals like took there chidren because they didnt want the kids to turn out like there parents, they took away there houses away.
it wasnt until about 1960 that australians let the aboriginals vote for the prime minister.
there stories differed a little bit from tribe to tribe but the main things about the stories where the same.
i found interesting some of the things that the aboriginals thought would happen, like kristen said that if the mum played the digeridoo they thought there kid would be retarded.
i didnt really know anything about aboriginal history, i just knew that the aboriginals went through a tough time when the white people came, but i didnt know how bad the white people treated the aboriginals.
i felt pretty bad and sad when i heard actually what happened to the aboriginals when the white people arrived in australia.
i now want to know after listening to the powerpoint why white people treated the aboriginals so badly
Boomerang come back /.Teagan Grech. what is come back boomerang mean?
Ancient heritage of the aboriginals.
my comment is ....
I thought the power point is very good every thing is well covered in all aspects the information really sticks to you and how there lives lavolve around there religion and not the parents decisions.
The aboriginals have been around mainland (Australia) for around 40 thousand years but some believe that they have been around for 60 thousand years , lots of paintings have been dated back to 45 thousand years ago.
Before caption cook ( the European settlers)came to Australia in 1788 aboriginals spoke over 150 different languages
some people believe that the aboriginals came from part of Asia because Australia was part of Asia back when the earth began and all the different continence and islands began.
it is known that the aboriginal culture is the oldest living culture in the world.
ABOUT THE ABORIGANAL Art Includes:
. Story telling . Song . Music . And dance
In the northern territories The native art works have:
. Native art works like sand paint . Sculpture . Bark . Rock and lots more
As a class we watched a powerpoint about aboriginals and how they lived and about their history on Australian land.
I learnt from the powerpoint that there was over 150 tribes in Australia, i also did not know that the aboriginals spoke one or more hundreds of separate languages and dialects. That was new information to me. I have got some more information about aboriginals. Every different tribe in Australia had their own story and they were told through song and dance and also pictures but they did not have a pen ,they use their hands and sticks and their legs to draw outstanding pictures that say a thousand words. Also another new bit of information i discovered was that in aboriginal cultures the time in which the Earth received its present form and in which the patterns and cycles of life and culture began. Each tribe in Australia has its own stories that they have passed down generations for years and years. These stories contain and explain the origin of natural features and landforms and are responsible for certain customs practical in different areas.
Some shocking news that i found out was that white people took aboriginal babys because white people thought that they would get a better life and better child hood if they came and lived with white people. I think that that is a little bad for the aboriginals because its their baby and they can look after it well. They would also tell the babys/kids about the stories of their tribe and their history and if white people kept taking aboriginals babys the aboriginals would have no one to tell the stories to and no one to pass down the generations.
Some of the places in Australia have names givin to them by Indigenous Australians. some famous ones and their aboriginal meanings includes: MALLEE: thicket or scrub OMEO:mountains CANBERRA:meeting place ECHUCA:places of stones MILDURA:sore eyes GEELONG:place of the cliff
Australian aboriginal culture can claim to be the oldest living culture on the whole planet. In the northenn territories, native artwork includes sculpture, bark and rock paintings, and basket and beanwork.
During the early part of the 20th centry laws were passed to segregate and protect aboriginals. This invaded restrictions on where they could live and work and families being broken up.
I am disappointed that the first ever white people killed the aboriginals and that is bad because i am a white person and i like the aborigianls. I like them because they have so so so much information to share with everyone and i like how they dance and how they put white paint stuff all over there body, and then they do a dance and in the dance they tell you a story about their history.I also like how the aboriginals made the digeridoo and it sounds so cool how they play it. The digeridoo is so hard to play because my sister and a couple of there friends went up to Queensland and they brought a digeridoo and they brought it down back to Bendigo and i had a go and all i got out of it was like a really loud noise. I thought it would really be so easy to play but it is really hard to get the right noise. They also brought back a big painting that aboriginals painted and the way they make all the little dots and all the lines are amazing and the person who they bought the painting off said that this painting explains a thousond words. Also that every little line and dot on the painting explains a story. The aboriginal that made the painting would of sat there for hours painting every little bit on the painting, i was just amazed that they go through all that.
while listening and taking notes about this presentation I learned a lot of new interesting thing about aborigines and torstraight islanders, some of the things I learned were that Aborigine society has inhabited Australia for 40,000 years. This was back when Australia was joined with south-east Asia, and some people believe that the Aborigines originated from there instead of Australia, because of this these people think that aborigines should not get land rights.
Another piece of information I gathered was that Aborigines did not keep any written records, but they did tell stories through pictures and song about their life and the 'dream time'. The dream time is the Aborigine's explanation of how the world came to be. Stories of the 'dream time' varied across 150 Aborigine tribes which were spread across Australia.
I feel amazed that Aborigines may have originated from south-east Asia because, for all my life I have believed that aborigines were the owners of this land but with this new found knowledge I am beginning to doubt this. I am also very disappointed at the first white people who came to this great land because they slaughtered Innocent aborigines and enslaved them to do their bidding. the most horrific thing they had done would have been the slaughter of all the agorigine tribes down in Tasmainia, I despise any of the people who took part in this inhumane act.
The powerpoint "Boomerang Come Back" was a great introduction to our new investigation. We learn't about aboriginal history and culture. It is believed aboriginals have been on this land for 40,000 to 60,000 years, when they walked down to Australia whilst it was still joined to South Asia. In 1788 when captain cook came we took away their historic land, culture and rights. I feel ashamed that as "white people" we were so cruel, so relaxed and calm about taken things that weren't ours and I don't know why and how we could've done It. Aboriginals are the historic owners of our land, after all the torture, racism and cruelty they have received from us we should be so grateful that they are still willing to share this historic, amazing country with us.
White people have treated aboringinals like dirt, we've stolen their land, children, rights and much more. After so much we should now be happy to call them friends and the rightful owners of our land.
On the 9th of September our class watched a powerpoint, on Aboriginals history and how they lived on Australian land. As I was away I still will view it.
I learnt that the Aboriginals were treated like dirt when white people migrated to Australia.
I found it interesting that before the arival of the european settles, Aboriginal and torastrait islanders in habited most areas of the Australian content. It is also believed that Aboriginal society have been here for 40,000 to 60,000 years. Many people think the Aboriginals came from South east asia. Did you Know that there is over 150+ tribes and each of them have their own lanuage in Australia. Each tribe in Australia have there own story and were told through pictures, dance and also through song, when the Aboriginals did paintings it would take them hours beacause they didn't have any paint brushes, so they would use their hands, fingers and sometimes they would use sticks. But because they would use their fingers the painting would be heaps better than a normal painting because they put alot more effort and detail in their pictures. Every little dot in there paintings would mean something. When they paint pictures they are usally a storie of themselves. Dream time stories were past on through word and mouth but most of it has stayed correct, but there is know right story they have been consistant with telling the story.
Aboriginal's made some words before Ausralians did. In Australia there are famous places that have been named by Aboriginals and Aboriginals meanings include: Mallee: thicket or scrub Omeo: mountains Canberra: meeting place Echuca: place of stones Mildura: sore eyes Gellong: place of the cliff
Early in 20th century laws past to segregate and protect Aboriginals. I feal really sorry for the aboriginals went through.
While watching the “Boomerang come Back” PowerPoint, I learnt it is believed that aboriginals walked from Asia to Australia, more than 40,000 years ago, several people believe aboriginals have been in Australia for 60,000 not 40,000 years. I learnt that Aboriginals tell stories to share their culture between tribes; these stories are called dreamtime stories and include the rainbow serpent, The Two Wise Men and the Seven Sisters, How the water got to the plains and many more. These stories explain the origin of natural features, Symbols and how it was to live over 40,000 years ago. Each tribe in Australia has its own version of dreamtime stories and artwork. Aboriginals are famous for there artwork, Paintings on rocks and in caves have been dated back 30,000 years. It really shocked me that in Australia there are over 100 different languages and over 150 tribes, different tribes defined their culture through different ways, some used dance, song, drawing and storytelling. Aboriginal tribes have name and claimed different landmarks in Australia the most famous is Ularu, These Australian towns have been named by aboriginals: Malle: Thicket or shrub Omeo: Mountains Canberra: Meeting place Echuca: Place of stones Mildura: Sore Eyes Geelong: Place of Cliff
On the 9th of September 2008, 8H watched a powerpoint ‘boomerang come back’. While watching this powerpoint we learnt many things about the aborigine’s history that we may of or may not have already known. It is believed to be that the aboriginals have lived on this land for 40,000 to 60,000 years, one of the first cultures on the land. It is believed also that the aboriginals came from South East Asia.
The aboriginals have a very different and interesting way to tell stories. This is by singing, dancing, music and art. Stories told are called ‘dreaming’ stories and each group had a different version to each story. It is amazing just how much time they put into each painting. They make up the painting with dots and every part of the painting has its own important meaning. We completed a piece of art in art in semester 1 that we had to do like the aboriginals did and it was extremely hard to get all of the dots looking good and it showed just how talented the aboriginals were. The didgeridoo is played mostly by men. It is a wind instrument from the Indigenous Australians and is made from wood and painted. The didgeridoo is a important part to ceremonial life for aboriginal groups. It is so amusing that they could do all this when they didn’t have pens, paper, scissors and all the things we have now, they used all natural materials like sticks, rocks and water. And with so little, there stories and detail was fantastic!
Different groups defined there territories through language and song.
I found it interesting that the whole tribe raises a child and the child’s aunty e.g. are also classified as there ‘mum’.
Places in Australia have indigenous names, these including- -Mallee (thicket or scrub) -Omeo (mountains) -Canberra (meeting place) -Echuca (place of stone) -Mildura (sore eyes) -Geelong (place of the cliff)
Before white settlement, aboriginals and Torres Straight inhabited most Australian continent. It was from this powerpoint I found out just how bad the aboriginals got treated. I didn’t like hearing how the aboriginals were treated by us white people as they are humans like us and they did not deserve it at all. They have a right to be on our planet just like us.
I liked the powerpoint because it taught me how important the aboriginals are to our world and how things worked all those years ago. Because this was the first thing we have watched for the investigation ‘boomerang come back’ I have already learnt a lot and want to now know more things about the aboriginals.
As a class we watched the powerpoint about the Aboriginals and how they lived their lives on the Australian land and also about their history here.
From the powerpoint i have found out that there was over 150 Aboriginal tribes in Australia. I learnt that they spoke one or more hundreds of languages and dialects, that was some new interesting information to me. I discovered that every different tribe in Australia had their own story. But they could not write it down because they did'nt have pens, so they told the story through song and dance and pictures aswell, they use their hands, legs and sticks to draw amazing pictures that were able to tell a thousand words.
Some of the places in Australia have names given to them by Indiginous Australians. Some f the famous ones and the Aboriginal meanings include: MALLEE:Thicket or scrub OMEO:Mountains CANBERRA:Meeting place ECHUCA:Places of stones MILDURA:Sore eyes GEELONG:Place of the cliff
Australian Aboriginal culture can claim to be the oldest living culture on the whole planet. In the Northern Territories, native artwork includes sculpture, bark and rock paintings. And also basket and beanwork.
I learnt that Aborigine society has inhabited Australia for 40,000 years, this was when Autralia was joined with South-east Aisa.
I was disapointed at the first white people who came to this land because they slaughted all the innocent Aboriginals and then they enslaved them so they could do their bidding.
White people have treated Aboriginals very poorly, we have stolen their land, children, rights and heaps more. We should be happy that they are still willing to share all of their history with us and also to share the land and country with us. We should be grateful to call them our friends and the owners of this land.
I have discovered that there are over 150 Aboriginal tribes in Australia and they all have their own language.
I also learnt that Aboriginals tell storys to share their culture between tribes; these stories are called dreamtime stories and they include the rainbow serpent, the two wise men, the seven sisters, how the water got to the plains and many more. all of these stories explain the origin of natural features, symbols and how it was to live over 40,000 years ago. Each tribe in Australia has its own version of dreamtime stories and artwork. Aboriginals are famous for their artwork, i discovered that paintings on rocks and in caves have been dated back 30,000 years ago.
Aboriginals lifestyles and cultral traditions difered from region to region.
Laws, social organisation and customs were passed from one generation to another through music, dance, art, ceremonies, legends and stories.
In Aboriginal cultures, the time in which the earth received its its present form and in which the patterns and cycles of life and culture were begun.
Many stories explain the origin of natural features and landforms and are responsible for certain customs practiced in different areas.
To conclude my comment i thought that the "Boomerang Come Back" powerpoint was very interesting, and i really liked it because it taught me to not be racist to Aboriginal and it showed how important the Aboriginals are to the world and how everything went on back all those years ago. This was the first thing we watched for this investigation "Boomerang Come Back", i have learnt heaps and i would really like it if we could learn much more things about the Aborigignals.
In Tasmania when sea levels rose after the last Ice Age, Tasmanian Aboriginal people were isolated for 10,000 years until white people arrived and settled in the beginning of the 19th century. The settlers then went about killing all the Aboriginals in Tasmania when i discovered this information i was truly shocked that white people could be so cruel. I thought that the white people were nice and kind to the aboriginals but when i watched the powerpoint i was so mistaken.
Today i think that white people are a little bit kinder to aborigianls than back then, because today AFL clubs and other sporting clubs support indigenous people around Australia and i think that is really good. I know that the Essendon AFL club support indigenous kids by going to them and giving them stuff, and the players go there and show them how to play AFL football and i think that is really nice because i go for Essendon and i like them even more because they do stuff like this in their spare time. There is also a AFL game called dreamtime at the 'G' between Essendon and Richmond football clubs the colours of the two clubs combine to form the colours of the Aboriginal flag and that is very cool. They are celebrating indigenous players and i know that Essendon have a lot of indigenous players. Before the game they stand there and listen to a person play the digeridoo and it is really cool.
Also one in ten AFL players are of indigenous origin. Most of the indigenous players are very skillful at football and running and on marking.
I think that aboriginals are the same as any of us. We should treat everyone the same. We are all humans beings.
I have learnt so much on this topic and i would love to hear more about the aboriginal culture.
The powerpoint boomerang come back was a great source and start of information for the topic.
I learnt about Aboriginie history and their cultures like how the Aboriginies never used to live in Australia, I was told They came to Australia 40,000 to 60,000 years ago across a land bridge which was connected to the Asian mainland. The Aboriginies over the many years split into many tribes which is thought to have been approximately 150 tribes in total. Each tribe had it's own territory and uniqe culture such as their own wall paintings, music and dance as well as their own dream time stories of how the world and land began which also acted like the tribes own religon and law. All though the Aboriginies were divided amongst their tribes, they still managed to produce outstanding and uniqe technology such as the didgeridoo, rain sticks and also water proof baskets.Aboriginies also used uniqe hunting skills like swimming under ducks and drowning them, as well as causing bush fires to lure out animals.
Unfortunally the Aboriginies peace was disturbed by white man who were looking to settle on new land. Like many other similar times the white man showed no respect for the natives and would slaughter many for no reason. Many Aboriginie tribes and cultures were wiped by white man because they believed that their ways of living were better. I am very sad about what the white man did to the Aboriginies and I hope our people can make for the mistakes we have made in the past.
POWERPOINT- As a class it was interesting to learn about the aboriginals, it was enjoyable to learn about the different culture and life styles. I thought it was very interesting how aboriginal society has inhabited mainland Australia for over 40,000 years and white invasion only occurred 220 years ago. The aboriginals never took more than they needed form the land and always moved on from a place before they used up all the food and water, they were the first conservationist. In the time the white men came here there has been pollution and animals being extinct. I think everyone responded good and were interested in what the powerpoint was about.
it was good to learn about the aboriginals as we dont know much about them as the true owners of this land and that they have almost been forgotten. some of the things i learnt about the aboriginals on this powerpoint is
Aboriginal society has inhabited mainland Australia for over 40,000 years, some beleave that it could be closer to 60,000 years. Some of their paintings have been dated way back 30,000 years.
On the Aboriginal powerpoint I found many many interesting facts about their coulture, history, beliefs, and I also learnt that indians and aboriginals were treated very similar in a few ways.
when i watched the powerpoint i picked up some interesting facts aswell. Some of them were ...
-Abroiginals became good at farming, but they weren't aloud to sell the grain that they grew. -Before 1968 Aboriginals weren't aloud to vote. -Indians couldn't use mechanical farming equipment -It was illegal for aboriginals to practise their traditional dance untill 1884. -Beer and alcohol weren't sold to indians -Canada settled by brittan in1730, and Australia in 1788 -Legistration to destroy legal rights in Australia. -Land was stolen (both Indiaand Australia) -Aboriginals who went to war didnt' get $$ on return.(Same with Indians) -Discrimination. -Children in Indiawent to Residential schools (Taken away from familys) -Stolen Generation. -Laws about lobs.
By watching the power point, I learnt a lot about aboriginal culture, aboriginals have been around over 40,000 years some believe even 60,000 years, aboriginal culture claim to be the oldest continuous, living culture on the planet and its lead to believe that the aboriginals come from South East Asia.
Aboriginals are well known for their great stories. Stories such as “Dream time” “rainbow serpent” “Eaglehawk and crow” “gulaga” and many more. Each group of aboriginals in Australia has its own version of the great stories.
Aboriginals are also known for there famous art pieces, art was found on rocks in caves around 30,000 years ago, most art was made spiritual honouring “Dream time” Aboriginal art includes story telling, music and dance. I already knew that dreamtime stories were important to the indigenous people because it shows their culture and lifestyle.
Australian state and country names have been named after aboriginal tribes names such as… Malle- meaning Thicket or shrub. Omeo- meaning Mountains. Canberra- meaning meeting places. Echuca- meaning place of stones. Mildura- meaning sore eyes. Geelong- meaning place of the cliff.
I felt good in away of learning about the aboriginal culture, because it was a good experience to have, and now that I know more about them I respect them more.
I found aboriginal culture interesting because it is my first time learning about this type of culture properly and I have already learnt a lot about aboriginals and would like to continue researching them and their lifestyles.
we watch a power point on aboriginals history before white people there was only aboriginals the aboriginals have being around for 40,000 and maybe to 60,000. aboriginals pantings have being around for 30,000 years. in the aboriginals family only the men can play the digendoo. each differnt tribe have there own differnt stories mallee = scrub omeo = mountains canberra= meeting place echuc = place of stones mildura sore eyes geelong place of the cliff
[£]:....The power point was interesting like where the Abo’s have been here for over 40,000 years that’s old. They also believe that they are from south east Asia. In a tribe they believe that women are not allowed to play the didgeridoo. They believe that the Abo’s were the first culture on earth. All Abo’s in Tasmania were killed when the first settlers came to Australia. Differnt groups defend there territories with song and language. Each different tribe has there own different stories to tell. The power point was interesting I learnt things that I never new like they were the first culture on earth it was really interesting to know they didn’t fight to often because they defended there territories with song and language
Some places in Australia indigenous names. -Mallee (Thicket or scrub) -Omeo (Mountains) -Canberra (Meting place) -Echuca (Place of stones) -Mildura (Sore eyes) -Geelong (Place of the cliff)
The powerpoint we watched in class was a really good start to boomerang come back it wasn't boring most of the facts were interesting.
Aboriginal history in Australia I thought that was really interesting because i found out that men can only play the didgery doo because my class mate kristem said if a female plays the didgery doo they come out retarded and i found out that there is t tribes and each of them speak there own language in Australia.
ABORIGINAL people said these words even before australians said them
Mallee which means thicket or scrub Omea which means moutains Canberra which means meeting place Echuca which means place or stories Mildura which means sore eyes Geelong which means place of the cliff
I though over all its a good start to boomerang come back and I think its going to be a good topic to learn about
we learnt alot about the aboriginal community and how badly they have been treated for so many years its terrible to think that this has been going on for so long until Keven Rudd said sorry just recently but they are still discriminated against.

Some of the places in Australia have names givin to them by Indigenous Australians. some famous ones and their aboriginal meanings includes:
MALLEE: thicket or scrub
OMEO:mountains
CANBERRA:meeting place
ECHUCA:places of stones
MILDURA:sore eyes
GEELONG:place of the cliff
It is also believed that Aboriginal society have been here for 40,000 to 60,000
years.
In Australia there are famous places that have been named by Aboriginals
and Aboriginals meanings include:
Mallee: thicket or scrub
Omeo: mountains
Canberra: meeting place
Echuca: place of stones
Mildura: sore eyes
Gellong: place of the cliff
Aboriginal tribes have name and claimed different landmarks in Australia the most famous is Ularu, These
Australian towns have been named by aboriginals:
Malle: Thicket or shrub
Omeo: Mountains
Canberra: Meeting place
Echuca: Place of stones
Mildura: Sore Eyes
Geelong: Place of Cliff
Places in Australia have indigenous names, these including-
-Mallee (thicket or scrub)
-Omeo (mountains)
-Canberra (meeting place)
-Echuca (place of stone)
-Mildura (sore eyes)
-Geelong (place of the cliff)

POWERPOINT-
As a class it was interesting to learn about the aboriginals, it was enjoyable to learn about the different culture and life styles.
Power point on the Aboriginals life
it was good to learn about the aboriginals as we dont know much about them as the true owners of this land and that they have almost been forgotten. some of the things i learnt about the aboriginals on this powerpoint is
Aboriginal society has inhabited mainland Australia for over 40,000 years, some beleave that it could be closer to 60,000 years.
-Indians couldn't use mechanical farming equipment
-It was illegal for aboriginals to practise their traditional dance untill 1884.
-Beer and alcohol weren't sold to indians
-Canada settled by brittan in1730, and Australia in 1788
-Legistration to destroy legal rights in Australia.
-Land was stolen (both Indiaand Australia)
-Aboriginals who went to war didnt' get $$ on return.(Same with Indians)
-Discrimination.
-Children in Indiawent to Residential schools (Taken away from familys)
-Stolen Generation.
-Laws about lobs.
WHAT DID I LEARN ABOUT THE POWERPOINT?
Australian state and country names have been named after aboriginal tribes names such as…
Malle- meaning Thicket or shrub.
I found aboriginal culture interesting because it is my first time learning about this type of culture properly and I have already learnt a lot about aboriginals and would like to continue researching them and their lifestyles.
the powerpoint was a good thing for the class teching us about abirigines and that ther not diffrent.
I lernt alot of things of that vidio and so did the class.
we watch a power point on aboriginals history before white people there was only aboriginals the aboriginals have being around for 40,000 and maybe to 60,000. aboriginals pantings have being around for 30,000 years. in the aboriginals family only the men can play the digendoo. each differnt tribe have there own differnt stories
mallee = scrub
omeo = mountains
canberra= meeting place
echuc = place of stones
mildura sore eyes
geelong place of the cliff
-Mallee (Thicket or scrub)
-Omeo (Mountains)
-Canberra (Meting place)
-Echuca (Place of stones)
-Mildura (Sore eyes)
-Geelong (Place of the cliff)
The powerpoint we watched in class was a really good start to boomerang come back it wasn't boring most of the facts were interesting.
Aboriginal history in Australia
I thought that was really interesting because i found out that men can only play the didgery doo because my class mate kristem said if a female plays the didgery doo they come out retarded and i found out that there is t tribes and each of them speak there own language in Australia.
ABORIGINAL people said these words even before australians said them
Mallee which means thicket or scrub
Omea which means moutains
Canberra which means meeting place
Echuca which means place or stories
Mildura which means sore eyes
Geelong which means place of the cliff
I though over all its a good start to boomerang come back and I think its going to be a good topic to learn about
we learnt alot about the aboriginal community and how badly they have been treated for so many years its terrible to think that this has been going on for so long until Keven Rudd said sorry just recently but they are still discriminated against.
